Botox Aftercare

Following these simple instructions helps your treatment settle properly

Immediately after treatment

You may notice:

  • Small bumps

  • Mild redness

  • Tiny pinpoint bruises

These are normal and usually resolve quickly.

For the first four house

Avoid:

  • Lying flat

  • Massaging the treated area

  • Facial massages

  • Tight hats on treated areas

Stay upright during this time.

Exercise

Wait 24 hours before vigorous exercise.

Elevated blood flow immediately after injections may increase the chance of bruising.

Alcohol

If possible, avoid alcohol for 24 hours to reduce bruising risk.

Makeup

You may apply makeup gently after several hours, avoiding excessive rubbing over treated areas.

What to expect

Days 1–2

Little visible change.

Days 3–5

Muscles begin relaxing.

Days 7–14

Full results develop.

Need a touch-up?

We recommend scheduling a follow-up approximately two weeks after treatment if you have questions about your results.

When should I call

Go to the ER if you have any of the following:

  • Vision changes

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Significant weakness outside the treated area

These reactions are uncommon but require prompt medical evaluation.
